CYCLING FOR CONFIDENCE & FUN
Specially adapted bike for visually impaired pupils in London
LMFC has provided an adapted bike, specially designed to give visually impaired children the support and opportunity to cycle safely at Joseph Clarke School in London, children such as ten-year-old Kevin.
During a taster day Kevin, who is registered blind, was able to try out the adapted bike, which is specially designed to give visually impaired children the support and opportunity to cycle safely. Straight away he was able to develop his cycling skills and have fun cycling around the playground with his friends. Pupils enjoyed the day so much that they have written letters to the headteacher asking for bikes.
The new bike is due to arrive in September 2018 and will help pupils learn how to cycle in PE lessons and break times and also discover the joy of cycling whilst having fun with their friends.
